yeah,a bunch of people in cwl/ua are doing multimedia management/retrieval. multimedia search is hard, probably due to scalability and dirty data. and i agree with u on that many commercial companies r unhappy to share their dataset, cau’z in some sense it is their core value….

at this point , ppl in us are more realistic….
